Ayurboomi started in 2015 as an Ayurvedic and Siddha clinic. Our founder, Dr. Ashwin Selvakumar, had a broad vision of spreading therapeutic treatment for all of the diseases which are proved to be impossible to cure by modern day science. In rural India, siddhars have historically acquired techniques through master-disciple partnerships in order to work as neighbourhood "healers." Siddhars are among the estimated 400,000 traditional healers that provide 57% of rural healthcare in India. Siddha adherents hold that the five basic elements of earth, water, fire, air, and sky are found in food, in the "humours" of the human body, and in herbal, animal, or inorganic chemical compounds used as drugs to heal illnesses like sulphur and mercury.
